Founded on the principles of Swami Vivekananda, Sri Ramakrishna International Residential School gives children a scientific, contemporary education inside a living Gurukula tradition.
Our students wake to prayer and yoga, study in well-equipped classrooms and laboratories, eat clean vegetarian food prepared on campus, and sleep in hostels watched over by resident teachers. Discipline here is not imposed — it is practised, together, every day.

Residential Campus
A hostel that feels like a home
Teachers live on campus and act as parents. Food is vegetarian, nutritious and served five times a day. The campus is under round-the-clock CCTV surveillance.
Hostel accommodation
Clean, well-ventilated dormitories with resident wardens on duty. Students are grouped by age, and rooms are inspected daily for tidiness.
Pure vegetarian food
Nutritious, delicious and clean vegetarian food, served five times a day. Special meals on Sundays and festival days, fruit served frequently, and milk at night during examinations.
CCTV surveillance
Round-the-clock CCTV covers the campus, and the buildings are equipped with fire extinguishers for student safety.
Medical care
Unwell children are attended to promptly and parents are informed. For anything serious, parents are contacted immediately.
Laundry & hot water
Laundry facilities and hot water for bathing are provided, so that younger children are never left to manage alone.
RO drinking water
Clean drinking water through RO filters on every floor of the building.

The day opens with prayer, followed by yogasana in the open air.

Admissions 2026-27
How to join the Gurukula
One clear admission process — no conflicting dates, no guesswork.

Submit the application
Complete the online application form, or collect a printed form from the school office. Send the duly filled form to the school on or before the last date, along with photocopies of all documents and the previous marks card.

Registration
Once the application is received, the student's name is registered for the entrance examination. You will be contacted with confirmation.

Entrance examination
A written examination on the previous standard's syllabus — Kannada, English, Science, Mathematics and Social Science. Parents may bring students directly to the examination on the fixed date.

Interview
A short interview with the student and parents follows the written examination, held on the same day.

Selected students may take admission accompanied by their parents, with the documents listed below. 60% of the school and hostel fee is payable at the time of admission.

In the Gurukula system, students live with their teachers rather than only attending their classes. Learning extends beyond the timetable into daily conduct — how a child eats, sleeps, speaks, plays and treats others. We combine that traditional structure with a modern scientific syllabus, laboratories, smart classrooms and competitive-examination guidance.
You can complete the online application form on this website from any phone, or collect a printed form from the school office. Submit the filled form with photocopies of your documents and the previous marks card before the last date, and your child's name is registered for the entrance examination.

We admit students from Class 1 to Class 10. Many families join us at Class 1, Class 5 or Class 8, though admission at other levels is possible subject to seats.
